What I gave the last 10 years
I spent the last ten years looking for what wasn’t missing. In the bits of belonging and catching the fever called “tech”, I dived into a sea, only to discover that my ladder had laid on the wrong wall of success for a decade.
How did I get here? Ambition. Surprised? No.
It was pure ambition. I wanted to create something and defy the odds for the next generation, after all a study showed that the first generation created 70% of the wealth while the other 30% got it by inheritance.
Any regret? Nope. I bet you. It was the best year of my life.
Yes, I know this calls for details.
It will come after the next ten years.

The last 10 years didn’t make itself that wonderful for me. So many amazing people contributed to making it so. In no particular order:
- Tomi Davies: brought me into Supa Strikas, after I shut down Outbox. Introduced me to what is product management.
- Demola Onanuga: my pastor and mentor. Guided me, gave me free space to work from his office, and made some introductions.
- Chuks Umezulora: amazing guy. See what you’ve done with Auxano Solar. keep inspiring.
- Jame Agama: I bullied him into investing in Moor. Thank you.
- Henry Mascot: gave me a job at Curacel after shutting down my second startup — Thrive Media. At that time, I gave up and decided to just go drown in 9 to 5.
- Ayeni (ATG): you took a chance on a stranger. Thank you
- Louis Ekome: that long ride from festac to VI changed a lot in me. You didn’t know.
- Ajay Arora: it was a message to join your class on the Sanford program. And you made it happen. You didn’t stop there; jumped on calls with me to help with my work challenges.
- Ikechukwu Orji: You believed enough in Zaidi that we could make magic. We did make magic. Not a forgettable experience.
- Andy Imafidon: that Thrive Media lasted more than 12 months, it was because of you. You allowed me to bring my business into your home, ready to drive me to a meeting where your presence is needed. And it is not because you owned a stake in it.
- Stanlee Ohikhuare: all this media thingy wouldn’t have happened if you didn’t allow me into StanleesWorld. Hope you create the next big thing, boss.
There are many people not listed here. Not because I forgot you. It is because our journey just started. I appreciate you much more than this letter represents.
